Novosti s JavaOne - u iščekivanju Java SE 8
U ovom predavanju predstavnici Hrvatske udruge Java korisnika (HUJAK) prikazat će najvažnije novosti i highlighte s najveće svjetske Java konferencije JavaOne 2013, koja se održala prije nepuna 3 tjedna u San Franciscu. Tamo je ponovno bilo više od 400 predavanja i više od 5.000 sudionika iz 90 zemalja. Kako zapravo izgleda ta 18-ta (punoljetna) konferencija, četvrta u organizaciji Oracla? Kako Oracle i njegovi partneri gledaju na budućnost Jave? Koje su strateške smjernice, a što su trendovi? Kako se gleda na planove za budućnost platforme Java SE, Java EE i Java ME? Koje se tehnologije najviše koriste, koje se tek razvijaju, koje uživaju najveću podršku, a koje su najperspektivniji izazovi za budućnost? A kako na to sve gleda globalna Java zajednica? Koji su najzanimljiviji projekti u kojima je zajednica doprinijela? Sve ovo i puno više moći ćete diskutirati s predstavnicima HUJAK-a, a najsretniji će dobiti i zanimljive poklone.
News from JavaOne - in anticipation of Java SE 8
Abstract:
In this session Croatian Java User Association (HUJAK) representatives will present the most important news and highlights from the world's largest Java conference - JavaOne 2013, which took place less than three weeks ago in San Francisco. Once again, there were more than 400 sessions and more than 5,000 participants from 90 countries. How does this 18th (adult) conference, fourth under the organization of Oracle, really look like? How Oracle and its partners look on the future of Java? What are the strategic guidelines and trends? And how do they look on the plans for the future of Java SE, Java EE and Java ME platform? What are the most widely used technologies, which are still developing, which enjoy the greatest support, and which are most promising to address the challenges of the future? And how does global Java community responds on all that? What are the most interesting projects in which the community has contributed? All this and much more you will be able to discuss with HUJAK's representatives, and the luckiest will also get some interesting goodies.

Branko Mihaljević je nezavisni IT konzultant, manager, edukator i poduzetnik. 12 godina je radio na FER-u, gdje je i magistrirao, završio studij poslovnog upravljanja te doktorirao, 7 godina je bio suvlasnik tvrtke za Java razvoj, a danas vodi svoju IT tvrtku. Sudjeluje u edukaciji na nekoliko visokoškolskih ustanova, a istraživački interesi su mu otvoreni i raspodijeljeni sustavi, enterprise arhitekture, umjetna inteligencija i računarstvo u oblaku. Autor je niza znanstvenih radova i nastavnih materijala, te sudjeluje na brojnim konferencijama. Radno iskustvo stekao je kao IT konzultant, projektni menadžer, voditelj razvoja i arhitekt sustava na nizu IT projekata u financijskom i telekomunikacijskom sektoru te sektoru javnog zdravstva i satelitskih sustava. Trenutno je predsjednik Hrvatske udruge Java korisnika (HUJAK).
Bio:
Branko Mihaljević is an independent IT consultant, manager, educator and entrepreneur. For 12 years he has worked at FER, where he received M.Sc., DSM and Ph.D., for 7 years he was a co-owner of Java development company, and today he leads his own IT company. He is engaged in education on several higher education institutions, and his research interest include open and distributed systems, enterprise architectures, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing. He is author of many scientific papers and educational materials, and participates in numerous conferences. He gained work experience as an IT consultant, project manager, development leader, and SW architect on various IT projects in financial, telecom, public health and satellite systems sector. Currently, he is the president of Croatian Java User Association.
Aleksander Radovan, kao diplomirani inženjer računarstva, trenutno završava doktorski studij na Fakultetu elektrotehnike i računarstva. Svoje iskustvo je stekao u tvrtki CROZ gdje je 8 godina radio kao Java razvojni inženjer i voditelj projekata, a danas radi kao IT edukator i predavač niza programskih kolegija vezanih uz Javu i srodne tehnologije na Veleučilištu Velika Gorica i Tehničkom veleučilištu u Zagrebu. Autor je niza nastavnih materijala, planova i programa predmeta koje predaje i stručnih radova objavljenih na raznim konferencijama. Trenutno je predsjednik Odbora za edukaciju Hrvatske udruge Java korisnika (HUJAK).
Bio:
Aleksander Radovan, as a graduate computer engineer, is currently completing his Ph.D. course at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. For 8 years he has worked as a Java software developer and Project manager at CROZ, and he is currently employed as IT educator and lecturer on a number of programming courses related to Java and related technologies at the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica and Polytechnic of Zagreb. He is author of a number of teaching materials, curricula courses related to programming in Java and conference papers. Currently, he is also the president of the Committee for Education of Croatian Java User Association (HUJAK).
