Almost two years ago, the Itanium Solution Alliance committed $10 billion to the end of the decade which sparked a rapid growth in practically every area. Currently, Itanium-based solutions are deployed in 75 percent of the Top Global 100 Companies and overall, end-user deployments have surpassed 140,000 worldwide. More than 2,000 Independent Software Vendors have helped create 12,000 applications for Itanium-based systems, which indicates a strong critical mass and reinforces that it is a widely-used platform. The Alliance continues to leverage the power of its global membership – which has doubled in the past year to more than 200 members, and a fraction of which are represented on this slide – and build on the commitment of our founding companies.

All of this adds up to hard numbers: A worldwide, 40 percent increase in the past year for Itanium-based system volume and a record $1 billion in revenue in the 2nd quarter of 2007. As importantly, we are gaining market share from our competitors which is what I’d like to discuss next.
